Making is always better, right?

I fell in love with a mobile I found on Etsy.  I wanted something for above the changing table, to help Baby S sit still during changings (I know all of you Mom's out there are laughing and saying yeah right!)

Once I was ready to buy it however, the seller had hiked the price up from $45 to $70!  I decided instead to recreate something I saw on Pintrest.  When it comes to your baby, making something for him/her is a bit more meaningful, right?

Coming along

Yesterday, Brandon put the crib together.  The rest of the nursery furniture should be coming this week, so soon it will be all together and ready for Baby S's arrival.

Nursery fit for a Beatle

Just picked up the first two digital prints I created through photoshop for the nursery.  Now I just have to complete the last two...

Paint it Black

Yesterday, Brandon spent the majority of his day and night prepping and painting the nursery.  Neither one of us are into super girly or super boyish nurseries ie. butterflies and dump trucks, so we went (against our mother's wishes) with a non-traditional approach to our nursery.  Our take on the modern nursery is classic black and white stripes with brightly colored accents.
