Showered With Love
Sorry for the delay! This week has been crazy. 7 weeks and counting and I feel like I have a million things I still need to do! Sunday was our Michigan shower in Plymouth. Since there are not many women on the Kenney side, I told my Mom I would handle decorations. Little did she know, I had planned on decorating everything in pink and surprising everyone with the news that we are having a girl! It was so great to have to many of my loved ones in one room!

Sneak Peek: Showered with Love
Sunday was our second and
last shower thrown by my Mom. Since my family is so small, I told my
Mom that I would handle decorations. Little did she know that for the
last month, I knew I would be having a girl and would surprise all of
our friends and family at the shower with the news. Check back to see
more!

Room Full of Love
Saturday was our shower with our Toledo friends & family. The room was full of love and excellent food!! The ladies prepared all of my favorite salads (Betty salad, Taco salad, & Asian salad)! My cousin Lauren did a great job designing all of the decorations and games (she's for hire if you need a party planner ;) )
Above is my huge plate of food... ok actually there are two plates there ;)

Shower Sneak Peek: Caption This!
As I'm about to run out the door to a shoot, I thought I would share with you a pic my Mom took at our shower yesterday. Insert your best caption as to what you think I am thinking... :)

Making is always better, right?
I fell in love with a mobile I found on Etsy. I wanted something for above the changing table, to help Baby S sit still during changings (I know all of you Mom's out there are laughing and saying yeah right!)
Once I was ready to buy it however, the seller had hiked the price up from $45 to $70! I decided instead to recreate something I saw on Pintrest. When it comes to your baby, making something for him/her is a bit more meaningful, right?

This guy
This was Barkley yesterday morning after spending Saturday in Toledo. He was like this pretty much most of the day. Looks like he needs more trips down there!

Ernie's House
I had to do a separate post about this place. Above is Ernest Hemingway's home in Key West. We took a tour and found that he was much more than just "the last romantic American writer" (as Brandon referred to him as). He was of course a writer, as well as an adventure seeker, large game fisherman, ladies man, safari hunter, party animal, soldier and owner to several poly-dactyl cats.
A warning for me as we enter the grounds... Boo!

Above is actually a "birthing stool" but Ernest took it with him fishing.
The pool looked amazing. Several people, myself including asked if we could jump in :) It was 90+ out with about 200% humidity. My shirt was just about see through with sweat. Gross.
Ernest's office. His legs never recovered from an accident in the war and actually spent most of his time writing standing up.
There were over 50 cats on the grounds. They all were named after old Hollywood celebrities and political figures.

Babymoon
I know, kind of a lame name of a trip but we were just excited to get away one last time by ourselves before our little one came. It was hard enough to leave Barkley, so I don't even know if we will ever be able to leave the house one we have the baby! Here is our adventure to Fort Myers, Florida & Key West.
The sloppy joe's were so good, we were extra sloppy with them. (Although, I still think Brandon's are better)
