Early Spring

After a stressful night performing his duties as Nurse Barkley to Stella, he sits quitely enjoying the snow fall.

Enjoy it while you can buddy.  Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this morning, and per the news, he is never wrong, which means early spring!

They say it's your birthday...

Here he sleeps.  My now 2 year old English Bulldog.  Seriously, he sleeps so much, I am totally coming back as him in my next life.  His birthday gift is that I am home with him for the day.  Stella is sick (shocking I know) with bronchitis, so we will all be spending the day together.  Happy birthday buddy!  You enjoy those naps today :)

Work it

I came home from out pediatrician's appointment to find Barkley working it in the studio.  I had it set up still from my shoot with Stella the other day and apparently he was ready for his turn...or just found a comfy spot for a nap.

This guy

This was Barkley yesterday morning after spending Saturday in Toledo.  He was like this pretty much most of the day.  Looks like he needs more trips down there!

Splish, Splash

This summer marks the first summer we have had Barkley.  To ring in this occasion, Brandon decided Barkley must have a doggie pool.  He clearly doesn't get the concept and really just bobs for his tennis ball in there.  Hopefully once it gets really hot, he'll get the idea.

Dog Show!

As promised, A few shots from the 2012 Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show.  If you weren't able to make it down, look into it next year.  It's a great day for families, animal lovers and those who just like to people watch.
We even got to meet the 2102 Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show, Malachy.
This French Bulldog was actually part of a rescue.  There were several different breed rescues there to talk to and find out about adoption.
This one year old competitor sat nicely while being groomed.  Imagine that.... :)

Sneak Peak: Top Dog

Yesterday my Mom and I went to the Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show.  I didn't really know what to expect but it was actually really cool!  Check back tomorrow to see what other furry friends I made.
PS: The show continues today:  http://www.detroitkennelclub.com/  Check it out!
