Two Love Birds

June 9th two of my favorite friends are getting married!  Sunday marked the beginning of the festivities for Ken & Cyndi with their wedding shower.  

  Such a gorgeous day!  Can't wait for the dance party, I mean wedding guys! xoxo

Our New Journey

Surprise!

Earlier in the week, my husband devised a diabolical plan to surprise me for my birthday.  Yesterday he told me that he had something small planned for us later in the night.  I thought of a few things, either a date night for him and I or a big friends surprise.  He wanted to throw me off so much that he even called one of our friends yesterday asking him what he was doing later, which in my mind totally threw the friends surprise out the window.  Well, he totally pulled it off and he surprised me at one of my favorite restaurants, Mani in Ann Arbor with my best friends waiting there for us.

And yes, I'm turning 25 this year....again :)

Spring Fling

Yesterday marked the first day of spring and I could not be happier about it!  Although we were blessed (or felt the effects of global warming depending on how you look at it) with a mild winter, there's just something about waking up with your windows open that makes it just a little easier going to work in the morning.

This was the first thing I saw when I walked into Kenny's apartment on St. Patrick's Day morning.  Perhaps a little foreshadowing for some.

I raced to "The Illuminated Mural" just as the sun was setting.  This mural was created in late 2009 on an abandoned building in Detroit.  This beautifully decorated building is no longer abandoned; it is now a studio for several local artists.

Dog Show!

As promised, A few shots from the 2012 Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show.  If you weren't able to make it down, look into it next year.  It's a great day for families, animal lovers and those who just like to people watch.   

We even got to meet the 2102 Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show, Malachy.

This French Bulldog was actually part of a rescue.  There were several different breed rescues there to talk to and find out about adoption. 

This one year old competitor sat nicely while being groomed.  Imagine that.... :)
