Ernie's House

I had to do a separate post about this place.  Above is Ernest Hemingway's home in Key West.  We took a tour and found that he was much more than just "the last romantic American writer" (as Brandon referred to him as).  He was of course a writer, as well as an adventure seeker, large game fisherman, ladies man, safari hunter, party animal, soldier and owner to several poly-dactyl cats.
A warning for me as we enter the grounds... Boo!
Above is actually a "birthing stool" but Ernest took it with him fishing.
The pool looked amazing.  Several people, myself including asked if we could jump in :)  It was 90+ out with about 200% humidity.  My shirt was just about see through with sweat.  Gross.
Ernest's office.  His legs never recovered from an accident in the war and actually spent most of his time writing standing up.
There were over 50 cats on the grounds.  They all were named after old Hollywood celebrities and political figures.
