Birthday Girl

Last night we celebrated Nicole's birthday at Mongolian BBQ.  As is tradition, I created just about the worst concoction possible.
You don't want to know what was going on in the above photo...

V Day Project

Last Saturday, I was shopping with my Mom and saw these small decorative balls of yarn and decided to recreate them as a centerpiece.
Step 1.
All you need is yarn of your color choice and those small green styrofoam balls used for making flower arrangements.
Step 2
Begin wrapping the yarn around the ball.  I used white and one other color
Make sure to cover completely so none of the green from the styrofoam shows through.
There you have it - A great original centerpiece is under 30 minutes!

Snow Day

Saturday morning we woke up to what could be our first real snow in Metro Detroit.  The sun doesn't shine much in Michigan these months, so we had to take advantage of it.

Can't read my Poker Face

Friday night Brandon had the guys over for Poker.  I was assigned the job of record changer and beer getter.
Barkley's all tuckered out from all of the excitement

Barkley's Golden Hour

I raced home from work because I wanted to take advantage of what was left of this beautiful sunny day.
Unfortunately, our shoot was cut short due to the setting sun and the fact that I could no longer feel my fingers to take any more photos

Thank You!

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who has been checking out my photography (and those who haven't; you push me just as much).  Getting back into photography has been one of the best gifts I've been given.

My new years resolution was to do something photography related everyday whether it's taking pictures, reading books, or editing photos.  In order to keep myself honest, I also resolved to blog photos at least every third day.  I hope you all have been enjoying what you've been seeing and know that there's a lot more where that came from.

Shattered!

This past weekend a friend and I took a photography class to further understand the functions on our camera.  The class was fantastic!  Our instructor Asia was extremely knowledgeable, fun and creative.
If you own a DSLR camera and want to know how to use it, check out Asia's class, http://www.nozomilive.com/#!__page-0/digital-photo-classes
