Surprise!
Earlier in the week, my husband devised a diabolical plan to surprise me for my birthday. Yesterday he told me that he had something small planned for us later in the night. I thought of a few things, either a date night for him and I or a big friends surprise. He wanted to throw me off so much that he even called one of our friends yesterday asking him what he was doing later, which in my mind totally threw the friends surprise out the window. Well, he totally pulled it off and he surprised me at one of my favorite restaurants, Mani in Ann Arbor with my best friends waiting there for us.
And yes, I'm turning 25 this year....again :)

Attention Banksy...
Ok, in our small state of Michigan a Banksy piece was probably a one shot deal but I bet Hanksy would be interested...
(PS: for those who aren't familiar with Hanksy's work http://www.woostercollective.com/post/hanksy-hits-chicago)
Graffiti Alley in Ann Arbor is literally the best hidden treasure in the city. This blink-and-you-might-miss-it spot began as a one-man project in the 80's and has now grown into a huge canvas for local graffiti artists.

YES! Michigan
YES Michigan! is a marketing slogan for tourism in our fine state and though the cold months are coming, today I remembered just how great Michigan really is. Although my hand was pretty much frozen to my camera (ok maybe not - I am kind of a baby when it comes to the cold) I got some really great inspiration.

Hail to the Victors
Though I myself am not a Michigan fan, I am known to enjoy a good tailgate or two
Good game and season Wolverines... Too bad you still can't beat The Mighty Spartans ;)
